About Us
Traad, Ballyronan and Ballinderry Development Association (TABBDA Company Ltd, a Company Limited by Guarantee and a registered charity, is an organization which has been established over 20 years and has been at the heart of the rural community in the North West of Lough Neagh in its commitment to address local issues such as financial and emotional poverty, social isolation and to heighten awareness of the poor infrastructure and lack of health and well-being services in the local area. In our Memorandum and Articles of Association we our objectives are to:
- Support our socially isolated community
- Strengthen our community by improving skill base of volunteers
- Make required services more accessible to our community
- Strengthen connections between all sections of our community
During this period the group has gained experience in areas of identifying and meeting the needs of our community based at our thriving cross community centre. To date TABBDA has delivered programmes and projects such as therapeutic classes, community pharmacy services, Youth and Senior Citizen Programmes, Drama and Photography Classes and Outreach Citizen Advice Services. There are also weekly citizen dinners and dances, a Pre-School Play Group, Youth Club, Irish Dancing Classes, Drama Production, Health and Well-Being Classes, Aerobics, Triathlons, and many other activities. TABBDA also place a special emphasis on the elderly providing transport to their facilities to counteract the poor infrastructure for this demographic. We have also delivered in the past cultural Heritage projects such as Irish Crochet classes, community gardening, bird and bat life in the area etc.

Bat Walk with Aidan & Debbie

The Marina Coffee Shop Ballyronan is now open 11.00am to 5.00pm everyday.
Serving Barista Coffee, Tea, homemade scones, hot and cold snacks and lunch. Group bookings and events also.
Ballyronan & the Surrounding Area
The Marina Centre, Ballyronan is set on the shores of Lough Neagh, the Blue Flag Award Marina and Caravan Park, a picturesque site, approximately 12 miles from Cookstown and 5 miles from Magherafelt. Bird spotters are spoilt for choice as a ramble through the 5 acre woodland on site boasts views of swans, grebes and tufted ducks. Caravan and Camping at Ballyronan Marina is available 17 March – 30 September.

Ballyronan Wood is a beautiful walk through a small 5 acre wet woodland on the shores of Lough Neagh.
The area boasts a wealth of wildlife easily viewed from the woodland path, such as mute swan, whooper swan, Bewick swan, great crested grebes and tufted duck.
Situated on the picturesque western shores of Lough Neagh, this award winning marina is ideal for the water sports and boating enthusiast.
The Marina has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag beach award for excellent levels of cleanliness and management. There are walks around the marina as well as picnic areas and a park for children.
Lough Neagh is the United Kingdom’s largest inland lake with a shoreline of over 90 miles/150km. Paddlers on the Lough Neagh Canoe Trail can explore the numerous bays and inlets around the lough or the vast expanse of open water whilst observing a diversity. The lough laps the shorelines of five of Northern Ireland’s six counties. It covers over one hundred and fifty square miles.
